On the morning of January 22, Wang Zhonglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, went to the high-tech zone to investigate the automotive industry of Jinan Intelligent Network and listened to the report of the Municipal Economic and Information Committee on the development of Jinan Intelligent Networked Automobile. China National Heavy Duty Truck Group was invited to participate in the event. The unmanned smart bus and the HOWO-T5G driverless pure electric smart truck were tested on site.
Following the first release of the intelligent networked vehicle road test management specification in the province in 2017, Jinan City launched the intelligent networked vehicle road test for the first time in the province, and selected a test section with a total length of 4.8 kilometers in the high-tech zone. The road section realizes full coverage of 5G signals, which provides a strong guarantee for the testing, commercialization and industrial development of intelligent networked cars in Jinan.
Wang Zhonglin learned in detail the detailed configuration of the unmanned intelligent bus produced by China National Heavy Duty Truck and conducted a test ride experience. Cai Dong, deputy secretary and general manager of the party committee of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, reported to Wang Zhonglin and his party the development of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group's intelligent networked vehicles. In April 2018, the world's first unmanned pure electric vehicle HOWO-T5G was put into trial operation in Tianjin Port, realizing an important leap from the conceptual product stage to the commercialization of the L4 level unmanned electric truck. In October 2018, China National Heavy Duty Truck received the No. 001 Notice of Jinan Intelligent Network Linked Vehicle Road Test, and subsequently obtained the first test license of Jinan City.
Recently, China National Heavy Duty Truck will carry out further tests in the 5G network environment in accordance with the intelligent network connection auto-driving function test project required by national standards, combined with the 5G network built in the test area.
